ABOUT PATRICIA

My name is Patricia Wandoren and, in addition to being a mother, wife, lover of dogs and cats, pilates fanatic, and cooking connoisseur, I am also an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

To pinpoint the start of my health journey would be impossible, but I have experienced many life-changing events that have played significant roles in pushing me to the field of wellness, including the loss of my father and two sisters with cancer, and an auto-immune condition called Hashimoto.

Despite the undeniable pain I felt from these experiences, as well as my struggle with my health, my true passion for health and wellness has been revealed with them.

Now, with a handful of life lessons under my belt, I have made it my mission to help heal and motivate people, so they grab hold of their life and use their negative experiences as a catalyst to create a better, brighter, and healthier life.

HEALTH COACHING

What is Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching?

Great question! Let’s dive in:

Integrative Health Coaching, simply put, is a collaborative effort between client and wellness professional. As a team, the client and coach navigate the ups and downs of life with a particular focus on nutrition and wellness. This relatively new coaching technique stands out among the rest in one particular way: it addresses wellbeing from a holistic – rather than single-minded – perspective. In essence, Integrative Health Coaches view the body as a system of interdependent (or, dare I say, integrative) parts working together to operate a singular unit. So, instead of treating different aspects of our health as separate entities, this method of coaching combines diet, emotion, and self-image to generate the best results. You don't just change your diet, you change your identity.

Moving on, my personal coaching strategy lies in the belief that there are two types of nourishment for the body: tangible food we put on our plate and the activities we do in our day-to-day life (such as exercise, career, relationships, etc.). With me, you will focus on the digestive system, hormones, and your emotions.

What does this look like?

As your Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, I will:

  • Apply your personal wellness goals and past/current relationship with health, to make this coaching experience unique to you.

  • Respond to any and all concerns you have about your life, the coaching process, or anything at all – I’m here to put you at ease!

  • Aid you in identifying obstacles (past, present, or future) that might be keeping you from achieving the wellness results you want. (e.g. mental blocks)

  • Collaborate with you to design a comprehensive action plan to overcome any obstacles and embody the lifestyle of your happiest, healthiest, and most authentic self.
